Finalmente continues to bash her way north. We just passed Lat. 25 N. at Lon. 32 W. This morning , early we passed the same Latitude as Cabo San Lucas. So this is kind of like beginning the "Baja Bash", we will end up at latitude 38 North, the same as San Francisco. Only we started 2,000 miles ago. You Mexico sailors will be able to identify. It feels very similar. Head winds and rough seas. Warm sunny days but cool windy nights at the helm.

We expect a wind shift sometime after 25 deg North so we are on the lookout. Just before 25 degrees North we thought we had our lift but it has since faded back to the same heading of the trade winds as we have been experiancing the last 14 days. From here we expect a lift to the islands and then as we enter into a high after 30 + deg North we are thinking we will motor home the last 300 miles. Time will tell.

My GPS says 850 nm to the Azores. Should be about 5 to 7 days . Our destination is the island of Terceira. ("Third island", Portugese) If anyone has any info on this island we'd like to hear. History ? Economy? Politics? Did Columbus know it was there?

We have made a contact on the island and expect to be able to have both the Radar and autopilot worked on while there. The autopilot is sorely missed. We havn't seen any shipping in several days so the Radar isn't such a big loss.
