All;

After an overnight sail north of 156 nm from Salvador Brazil to Aracaju we arrived back at the yard where the boat was built. We actually arrived just before dark to navigate the river mouth, after entering and motoring up the river seeing the treacherous waves behind the boat gave us an eerie feeling. Here we hope to get the A/C installed and some last minute fixes done before heading off the 300 miles north to Recife for a final fuel stop.

Aracaju is on a river Delta like Stockton except for the coconut plantations and humidity. The people are very friendly and helpful but nobody speaks English. We are in a hotel tonight with the beach across the street going on forever in both directions. This place must really jump in the :on: season. The Beach Bars line the beach for miles along the four lane highway on the one side and high rise condos on the other, as if expecting a crowd. Today no one but us. Still hoping to get Sailmail up and running before leaving.

Love to all!
