*All non SSC members must join the club as a short term Youth Member for insurance reasons.
Register! Registration packages will be available at the Stockton Sailing Club office. Application and fees will be accepted at the office after Registration Day, Saturday, May 17, 2008, 10:30am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-3:30pm.
Applications received in the office will be processed according to their postmark or received date.
Class availability will be on a first come first served basis.
Class fees must accompany your completed application form to guarantee registration in the desired classes. Incomplete applications will be returned. If classes fill up and your fees have not been received, your child will be moved to a waiting list. SSC family members may charge fees to their club accounts. Make all checks payable to: Stockton Sailing Club.
Cancellations need to be made as soon as possible in order to offer the opportunity to another young sailor. Any cancellation less than ten days prior to class will result in non-refund of your fees, unless SSC is able to place another young sailor in that spot.
Young sailor needs to be 9 to 18 years old and weighing at least 60lb. and feel comfortable around the water. Sailors need to be dropped off on time, on the point by the cranes, and picked up immediately after their class. They should bring a snack and a generous amount of liquids which can be stored in the refrigerator. All participants must wear a properly fitting life jacket at all times on the docks and boats! If you do not own a life jacket, one can be provide for you! Bring and wear sun block, sun glasses with retaining strap and/or a hat and towel. Sailors will be getting wet! Shoes are required to be worn at all times on the docks! Water-socks are recommended.
All participants must behave in a respectful manner. This is an instructional program, to teach the fundamentals of sailing and is not an alternative to parental supervision. We reserve the right to dismiss any child, if they can not respect the basic rules of the club and/or the program. AND Parents there is a 10 m.p.h. speed limit on the property that must be obeyed!
